President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party have a plan to promote Biden and the Democrats\u2019 recent wins, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/12\/house-passes-inflation-reduction-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Inflation Reduction Act<\/a>, across the U.S. on the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/build\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Building a Better America Tour<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House hopes \u201cto beat the historical midterm odds\u201d of the incumbent President\u2019s party taking election losses, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/playbook\/2022\/08\/15\/inside-the-white-houses-plan-to-sell-itself-00051779\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to Politico.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden Administration and various Democrats will \u201claunch an aggressive effort to promote the benefits of the President\u2019s accomplishments and the Inflation Reduction Act to the American people,\u201d stated a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=00000182-9f73-dc87-a5ea-ff7fb4170000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">memo<\/a> to Biden\u2019s chief of staff Ron Klain from White House deputy chief of staff Jen O\u2019Malley Dillon and Biden\u2019s senior advisor Anita Dunn.<\/p>\n<div id=\"rev-more-content\">\n<p>\u201cFor many administrations, August can be a momentum killer. For this team, August is going to be a momentum builder as we come out of last week \u2013 which featured a string of bill signings, gas prices back under $4, Sweden and Finland\u2019s ascension to NATO, the House passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, and more \u2013 that underscored President Biden\u2019s leadership,\u201d O\u2019Malley Dillon and Dunn said in the memo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBetween Sunday and the end of August, Cabinet members will travel to 23 states on over 35 trips touting the Inflation Reduction Act and the administration\u2019s accomplishments,\u201d the memo stated.<\/p>\n<p>Despite positive media coverage, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) and the Joint Committee on Taxation <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/13\/cbo-inflation-reduction-act-irs-audit-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">agree<\/a> that the Democrats\u2019 new Inflation Reduction Act will be a tax burden on the poorest Americans. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/09\/bidens-economy-is-devastating-black-americans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0Biden\u2019s Economy Is Devastating Black Americans)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The CBO estimated that the act allows the federal government to raise at least $20 billion in revenue from additional Internal Revenue Service (IRS) audits on low and middle-income Americans from 2022-2031, <a href=\"https:\/\/gop-waysandmeans.house.gov\/cbo-new-irs-audits-will-grab-at-least-20b-from-lower-middle-income-families\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to a report by the GOP members of the Ways and Means Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The Joint Committee on Taxation said that Americans making less than $200,000 a year will be responsible for funding 78-90% of the extra revenue, the report stated. \u201cNearly half the audits would hit Americans making $75,000 per year or less and only 4 percent to 9 percent would from those making more than $500,000,\u201d the GOP members of the Ways and Means Committee reported.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">SHARE vs ACTUAL<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SecYellen?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SecYellen<\/a> directing <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/IRS?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#IRS<\/a> to not \u201cincrease the SHARE\u201d of taxpayer audits below $400k.<\/p>\n<p>What\u2019s that mean?<\/p>\n<p>With share staying same + surge in new <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/IRS?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#IRS<\/a> agents, ACTUAL audits for taxpayers making less than $75k increases by 710,000 based on CBO data. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/IRS87k?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#IRS87k<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rep. Take something like that away from someone, and they are going to resent it for more than 88 days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House lauded the \u201cdisappearance\u201d of inflation when the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bls.gov\/cpi\/latest-numbers.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a> that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/10\/biden-falsely-claims-inflation-disappeared-in-july\/\">stalled<\/a> at 8.5% from June to July, thanks to gas prices falling from the record-breaking high reached during the summer break.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just received news that our economy had 0% inflation in July. Similarly, they didn\u2019t promote that the average price of consumer goods increased by 1.3% \u2013especially in categories that matter most to middle and low-income Americans, like food and rent.<\/p>\n<p>The BLS reported that for the 7th consecutive month, the food index increased at least 0.9%, this time rising 1.1% in July. The price for Americans to prepare a home-cooked meal jumped 13.1% in the last 12 months and is the most significant rise since March 1979, the data showed. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/27\/another-american-dream-clings-life-under-bidens-watch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0Another American Dream Clings To Life Under Biden\u2019s Watch)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe index for other food at home rose 15.8 percent and the index for cereals and bakery products increased 15.0 percent over the year,\u201d the BLS release stated. \u201cThe remaining major grocery store food groups posted increases ranging from 9.3 percent (fruits and vegetables) to 14.9 percent (dairy and related products).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Increased shelter costs\u00a0account for about 40% of the total rise in all measured items outside of food and energy, the BLS stated. The data showed that shelter costs rose .5% in July after increasing 5.7% over the last 12 months.
