The registrar said 195,783 invalid signatures came from unregistered voters, repeat signees, registered voters who provided different addresses than those on file, and signatures that didn\u2019t match previous ones.<\/p>\n<p>The recall campaign <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/elections\/los-angeles-rejecting-votes-to-oust-radical-prosecutor-at-shockingly-high-rate-recall-campaign-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> last week that officials were employing outdated verification methods in its count, rejecting a &#8220;shockingly large&#8221; 22 percent of signatures during an initial random sampling.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement caps a year-and-a-half-long campaign to end Gasc\u00f3n\u2019s tenure as top prosecutor. The left-wing billionaire George Soros supported Gasc\u00f3n as part of his push to install progressive prosecutors nationwide. Weeks after Gasc\u00f3n took office, a group of his deputy district attorneys <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/deputy-district-attorneys-sue-l-a-s-top-prosecutor-over-radical-new-rules\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sued him<\/a> for implementing a host of &#8220;radical&#8221; and &#8220;unlawful&#8221; policies, which included ending California\u2019s &#8220;three-strikes&#8221; law for all felonies.
