Reinhart, who approved the recent search warrant on Mar-a-Lago.<\/p>\n<p>While Trump was president when Reinhart was appointed, he did not nominate him for any position.<\/p>\n<p>Reinhart signed off on a search warrant that allowed the FBI to search Trump\u2019s residence in Mar-a-Lago, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/08\/09\/judge-mar-a-lago-epstein-00050739\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Politico<\/a>. Agents were looking for classified nuclear weapons documents among other items of interest, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2022\/08\/11\/garland-trump-mar-a-lago\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Washington Post<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<div id=\"rev-more-content\">\n<p>The Facebook post claims that Trump appointed Reinhart in 2018, while he was president.\u00a0The claim has gone viral on Twitter, with one <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BlackKnight10k\/status\/1557075267868311558\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">iteration<\/a> receiving over 15,000 retweets.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">BREAKING: Republican Senator Marco Rubio humiliates himself, accuses the judge who signed off on the Mar-a-Lago raid of being \u201can Obama judge\u201d \u2014 but the judge was actually appointed by Trump himself in March of 2018. Federal magistrate judges are appointed by a \u201cmajority vote of the active district judges of the court to exercise jurisdiction over matters assigned by statute as well as those delegated by the district judges,\u201d according to the U.S Courts <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscourts.gov\/faqs-federal-judges#:~:text=A%20U.S.%20magistrate%20judge%20is,delegated%20by%20the%20district%20judges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Reinhart was appointed in 2018 by the U.S. Southern District of Florida court judges to be a magistrate judge, according to a March 2018 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flsd.uscourts.gov\/sites\/flsd\/files\/news\/18-03-14%20Press%20Release%20-%20Selection%20of%20Bruce%20E%20Reinhart%20as%20United%20States%20Magistrate%20Judge%20-%20FINAL%20-%2003-14-18.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press release<\/a>. The U.S. Courts website <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscourts.gov\/faqs-federal-judges#:~:text=A%20U.S.%20magistrate%20judge%20is,delegated%20by%20the%20district%20judges\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">states<\/a> that federal magistrate judges usually serve a term of eight years. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/07\/07\/fact-check-photo-boris-johnson-ghislaine-maxwell-allegra-mostyn-owen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Does This Image Show Boris Johnson With Ghislaine Maxwell?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reinhart did represent several of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s associates, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/08\/09\/judge-mar-a-lago-epstein-00050739\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Politico<\/a>.
