Giuliani, a former lawyer for Donald Trump, is reportedly the target of a Georgia-based criminal investigation into potential election interference, his lawyers said Monday according to The New York Times.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-at9mc1 evys1bk0\"><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/05\/23\/rudy-giuliani-lashes-out-at-heckler\/\">Giuliani\u2019s<\/a> lawyer, Robert Costello, noted in an <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/10\/16\/exclusive-interview-rudy-giuliani-hunter-joe-biden-hard-drive-corruption-ukraine-china-donald-trump-ny-post\/\">interview<\/a> that he\u2019d just been made aware of the news by prosecutors, the Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/08\/15\/us\/graham-georgia-investigation-trump.html\">reported<\/a>. Giuliani has not yet been notified of anything, a person close to the former mayor told The Daily Caller.<\/p>\n<p>The former New York City mayor is potentially facing criminal charges, Special prosecutor Nathan Wade told Costello, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/rudy-giuliani-is-a-target-of-georgia-election-probe-says-lawyers\">according<\/a> to PBS. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/15\/federal-judge-orders-lindsey-graham-testimony-2020-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Federal Judge Says Lindsey Graham Has To Testify In 2020 Election Investigation)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The investigation, led by Fulton County District Attorney Fani T. Willis, centers on <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/02\/rudy-giuliani-masked-singer-robin-thicke-ken-jeong\/\">efforts<\/a> made by former president Trump and his allies to refute the Georgia\u2019s results during the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors focused in on Giuliani earlier this summer, probing \u201cwitnesses before a special grand jury\u201d regarding the former Trump lawyer\u2019s 2020 \u201cappearances before state legislative panels,\u201d The Times reported.
