Willis\u2019 investigation into efforts to overturn the election results.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/08\/15\/us\/graham-georgia-investigation-trump.html\">reported<\/a> that prosecutors had questioned witnesses before a special grand jury about remarks that Giuliani made during appearances in front of state legislative panels the month after the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>Giuliani <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/rudy-giuliani-medical-procedure-travel-grand-jury-georgia-fulton-county-2022-8?inline-endstory-related-recommendations=\">tried<\/a> to delay having to testify before the special grand jury by saying that a recent medical procedure would prevent him from being able to travel.<\/p>\n<p>However, Willis\u2019 office obtained records showing that he had \u201cpurchased multiple airline tickets with cash, including tickets to Rome, Italy, and Zurich, Switzerland\u201d for dates that \u201cwere after\u201d his \u201cmedical procedure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Giuliani is now scheduled to testify Monday at a courthouse in Atlanta.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf these people think he\u2019s going to talk about conversations between him and President Trump, they\u2019re delusional,\u201d Giuliani attorney Robert Costello said.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>This is a developing news story; refresh the page for updates.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rudy Giuliani, who served as former President Donald Trump\u2019s attorney, has been notified that he is under criminal investigation in Georgia for matters related to the 2020 presidential election.
