During that time, she was classified as a \u201cspecial government employee\u201d according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/28\/anita-dunn-biden-skdk\/\">The Washington Post.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Dunn, who also served as a former senior advisor and White House Communications Director for the\u00a0Obama Administration, returned to the White House as an assistant and senior advisor to the president in May, meaning she was required by law to file\u00a0a public disclosure form.<\/p>\n<p>According to the recent disclosure, which was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/08\/12\/biden-senior-advisor-anita-dunn-has-to-divest-investment-portfolio-to-avoid-conflict.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first reported by\u00a0CNBC\u2019s\u00a0Brian Schwartz<\/a>, Dunn has previously consulted for\u00a0several major corporations over the past two years prior to her May appointment; advising\u00a0AT&#038;T, Lyft, Micron, Intra-Cellular Therapies, Salesforce,\u00a0Reddit, and\u00a0Pfizer.<\/p>\n<p>Under \u201cother assets and income\u201d Dunn also lists Pfizer, and states that it has a value of $1,001 \u2013 $15,000 although the income amount states \u201cNone (or less than $201).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Back in February 2021, Dunn was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2021\/feb\/24\/covid-best-thing-biden-anita-dunn-lucky-book-jonathan-allen-annie-parnes\">reported<\/a> as saying that \u201cCovid is the best thing that ever happened\u201d to President\u00a0Joe Biden\u00a0in the book \u201cLucky: How Joe Biden Barely Won the Presidency\u201d by\u00a0Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes of NBC News and the Hill respectively.<\/p>\n<p> Sizeable Investment Portfolio <\/p>\n<p>The\u00a093-page financial disclosure document (c) also shows that\u00a0Dunn\u00a0did consulting work for the D.C.\u2013based renewables trade group\u00a0American Clean Power Association;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pivotalventures.org\/\">Pivotal Ventures<\/a>, an investment and incubation company founded by Melinda French Gates; and\u00a0the\u00a0Center for American Progress Action, a liberal\u00a0public policy research and advocacy organization.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Senior White House adviser Anita Dunn counts pharmaceutical giant\u00a0Pfizer as a former client,\u00a0according to a recently released ethics disclosure.
