Adam Schiff (D-CA) \u2014 the guy who is, unfortunately for the country, the head of the House Intelligence Committee \u2014 appeared on \u201cFace the Nation\u201d on Sunday with Margaret Brennan.<\/p>\n<p>Brennan asked Schiff about the FBI raid on President Donald Trump and she asked a terrific question, the same question that so many of us have been asking \u2014 if this was truly the \u201cnational security\u201d issue they are trying to portray it as now, why did they wait 18 months? I\u2019d even add another point to that \u2014 why did they <a href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/nick-arama\/2022\/08\/12\/warrant-reveals-that-fbi-waited-days-before-executing-the-warrant-n611246\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wait three days<\/a> after they got the warrant on August 5 to execute it?<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no evidence in the warrant that <a href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/jeffc\/2022\/08\/13\/there-is-something-missing-from-the-warrant-to-search-trumps-home-n611725\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">there were any \u201cnuclear\u201d documents<\/a>, there\u2019s only a \u201csources\u201d report from the Washington Post. \u201dWhat was the change that made this immediate?\u201d Brennan asked.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Why did the DOJ wait 18 months to retrieve the sensitive documents Trump kept? \u201cI don&#8217;t know, but if the Trump people represented that they provided all the classified or national security information and didn&#8217;t, that&#8217;s a serious problem,\u201d Rep. Schiff tells <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/margbrennan?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@margbrennan<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/4ntVrqtaaR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pic.twitter.com\/4ntVrqtaaR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Face The Nation (@FaceTheNation) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FaceTheNation\/status\/1558832944172736513?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">August 14, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Schiff was flummoxed \u2014 he had no answer because there truly isn\u2019t one. \u201cUh, I don\u2019t know,\u201d he said. But that\u2019s the true question that needs to be asked here. Neither he nor the DOJ is answering it.<\/p>\n<p>Then Schiff tried to shift the focus and spin, \u201cIf, uh, the Trump people represented that they provided all the classified or national security information and didn\u2019t, that\u2019s a serious problem. And I could tell you anyone in the intelligence community that had, uh, documents like that marked top secret SCI, uh, in their residence after authorities went to them, um, you know, they would be under serious investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>No one has alleged that the Trump people represented that they provided all the documents and didn\u2019t. Obviously, the government knew they still had documents there, since they visited in June. That\u2019s Schiff being his Shiftiness again.<\/p>\n<p>But the second part of what he said there \u2014 and it can\u2019t be said enough \u2014 we need to talk about Hillary Clinton and the stark differences in how she was handled by the FBI versus what they have done to Trump. Hillary Clinton had a whole private server to avoid government review of her communications. She had all kinds of classified information on it, she destroyed more than 30,000 emails and her team smashed their blackberries. Trump getting sent documents by the GSA isn\u2019t even close to that. He was working with them to give back anything they wanted, not destroying things. Unlike Hillary Clinton, he didn\u2019t have a private server to avoid review. <a href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/nick-arama\/2022\/08\/12\/trump-isnt-blinking-as-he-takes-apart-fbi-raid-with-an-important-point-n611415\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">As he said<\/a>, all they had to do was ask. He knows that Trump declassified things.
