The FBI left a warrant that indicated they were investigating the former president for potential violations of laws to do with the mishandling of classified material, NBC News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/trump-allies-say-declassified-mar-lago-documents-experts-say-unclear-w-rcna42311\">noted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sources claimed that the FBI were looking for classified documents relating to nuclear weapons, the Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2022\/08\/11\/garland-trump-mar-a-lago\/\">reported<\/a>. Trump has denied the report that he was keeping such documentation at the Florida residence, Politico <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2022\/08\/12\/trump-classified-nuclear-documents-00051384\">stated<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"rev-more-content\">\n<p>\u201cMerrick Garland and FBI Director Chris Wray have failed in their mission to uphold the law.
