boxes from former President Donald Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago property containing documents covered by attorney-client privilege and denied a Trump lawyer\u2019s proposal for an independent, special href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/fbi-seizes-privileged-trump-records-during-raid-doj-opposes-request-independent-review-sources\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The attorney certified in a letter in June that there were no longer any classified documents at the Mar-a-Lago resort, <a title=\"Former President Trump's lawyer certified in June that no classified material remains at Mar-a-Lago\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/former-president-trumps-lawyer-certified-june-no-classified-material-remains-mar-lago\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Justice took 11 sets of declassified materials, boxes A-14, A-26, A-43, A-13, A-33, and a set of documents that included documents covered by attorney-client privilege, Fox News <a title=\"FBI seizes privileged Trump records during raid; DOJ opposes request for independent review: sources\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/fbi-seizes-privileged-trump-records-during-raid-doj-opposes-request-independent-review-sources\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Attorney-client privilege is a \u201clegal\u00a0privilege\u00a0that works to keep\u00a0confidential communications\u00a0between an\u00a0attorney and their client private,\u201d <a title=\"attorney-client privilege\" href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/wex\/attorney-client_privilege\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to the Legal Information Institute.<\/p>\n<div id=\"rev-more-content\">\n<p>The <a title=\"CASE NO. 22-MJ-8332-BER\" href=\"https:\/\/s3.documentcloud.org\/documents\/22131383\/post.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">search warrant<\/a>, along with the receipt of property was unsealed by Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The warrant stated that the areas to be searched include \u201c<span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">the \u2018<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">45<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Office,\u2019 all storage rooms, and all <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">other rooms or areas within the premises used or available to be used<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">by<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">FPOTUS and his staff <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and in which boxes or documents could be stored, including a<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ll<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">structures or buildings on the <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">estate.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The warrant also stated that the property to be seized included \u201ca<span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">ll physical documents and records constituting evidence, contraband, fruits<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">of<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">crime, or <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">other items illegally possessed in violation<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">of<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">18<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">U.S.C.<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">\u00a7\u00a7<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">793 , 2<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">071<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">, or 1519.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Trump and his staff have been compliant with the Presidential Records Act, <a title=\"Trump received subpoena for classified records this spring\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/trump-received-subpoena-for-classified-records-this-spring-cooperated-by-turning-over-documents-source.amp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener only will I not oppose the release of documents related to the unAmerican, unwarranted, and unnecessary raid and break-in of my home \u2026 I am going a step further by ENCOURAGING the immediate release of those documents, even though they have been drawn up by radical left Democrats and possible future political opponents,\u201d Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/us\/us-attorney-general-garland-confirms-fbi-investigating-trump-2022-08-11\/\">stated<\/a> on Truth Social, according to
