While rapists cannot sue under the law, a rapists\u2019 family members would be able to sue.<\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 25, per the Idaho Supreme Court&#8217;s decision, a near-total criminalizing of all abortions \u2013 still allowing doctors to defend themselves at trial by claiming the abortion was done to save the pregnant person\u2019s life \u2013 will take effect.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/nebraska-mother-daughter-facing-charges-allegedly-performing-illegal-abortion-burying-fetus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>NEBRASKA MOTHER, DAUGHTER FACING CHARGES OVER ALLEGEDLY PERFORMING ILLEGAL ABORTION, BURYING FETUS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood has also sued over a third ban that criminalizes abortions done after six weeks of gestation except in cases where it was needed to save a pregnant person\u2019s life or done because of rape or incest.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>That law was written to take effect on Aug. 19.<\/p>\n<div class=\"image-ct inline\">\n<div class=\"m\"><source media=\"(max-width: 767px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 767px) and (max-width: 1023px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 1024px) and (max-width: 1279px)\" \/><source media=\"(min-width: 1280px)\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/a57.foxnews.com\/static.foxnews.com\/foxnews.com\/content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/640\/320\/Idaho-2.jpg?ve=1&#038;tl=1\" alt=\"FILE - Rebeca Castro of Fruitland sings and dances to a Christian praise song during an anti-abortion celebration for the overturn of Roe v.
