Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) has started a voter organization in Georgia that will focus on getting conservative-leaning Georgians to the polls as well securing election integrity.<\/p>\n<p>Loeffler lost her seat to Democratic challenger Raphael Warnock on January 6 in a runoff election that was heavily influenced by the turmoil surrounding the presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>The surprising Democrat gains in the Peach State have been largely attributed to voter outreach headed by failed Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. As highlighted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/stacey-abrams-was-again-lauded-as-an-election-hero-it-turns-out-georgia-saw-its-lowest-share-of-black-vote-since-2006\">The Daily Wire<\/a>, however, the data to support such a claim is not clear.<\/p>\n<p>Loeffler has reportedly dumped a seven-figure sum into the creation of \u201cGreater Georgia\u201d and will serve as chairwoman.<\/p>\n<p>The group, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/kelly-loeffler-starts-voter-organization-to-rival-stacey-abrams-political-machine-after-gop-losses-in-georgia\">according<\/a> to Fox News, will \u201cmirror\u201d some of the functions of Abrams\u2019 \u201cFair Fight Action\u201d while \u201cstrengthening election security\u201dand focusing on \u201celection transparency and uniformity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur state is greater \u2013 and our democracy is stronger \u2013 when everyone\u2019s voice is heard, and that\u2019s exactly what Greater Georgia\u2019s work is about,\u201d said a statement from Loeffler.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut for too many in our state, the importance \u2013 and even the sanctity of their vote \u2013 is in question,\u201d the Republican continued. \u201d\u00a0That\u2019s why we\u2019re rolling up our sleeves to register conservative-leaning voters who have been overlooked, to regularly engage more communities, and to strengthen election integrity across our state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cElections at every level have consequences \u2013 and we\u2019re already seeing the consequences of recent elections play out in Georgia and across the country. Conservatives have a winning message, we just need to go out and share it with more people,\u201d Loeffler added. \u201cBy registering new voters, broadening our outreach, and rebuilding trust in our election process, we can create better outcomes, strengthen our democracy, and lift up more voices in our state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As noted by Fox News, \u201cGreater Georgia\u2019s creation\u00a0follows what many suspect to be\u00a0disillusionment among GOP voters following former President Donald Trump\u2019s election loss about whether voting matters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has seemingly publicly blamed Trump for Senate losses in Georgia. \u201cGeorgia was a fiasco,\u201d he told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/mcconnell-atop-a-fractious-party-is-open-to-jumping-into-primary-races-11613423935\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wall Street Journal<\/a>. \u201cWe all know why that occurred.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/georgia-voter-group-founded-by-stacey-abrams-under-investigation-for-registering-out-of-state-dead-voters\">The Daily Wire<\/a>\u00a0in December, a voting group founded by\u00a0Abrams was named as one of the organizations to be under investigation for allegedly registering out-of-state and dead voters:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Stacey Abrams\u2019 voter registration group, The New Georgia Project, is one of three such organizations now under investigation by the Georgia Secretary of State amid concerns that certain voting rights groups were \u201cseeking to \u2018aggressively\u2019 register \u2018ineligible, out-of-state, or deceased voters\u2019 before the state\u2019s Jan. 5 Senate runoff election,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/voter-group-founded-by-stacey-abrams-under-investigation-seeking-out-of-state-dead\">according to Fox News<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Abrams\u2019 group, as well as America Votes and Vote Forward, are largely credited with putting Georgia in play for Democrats in the 2020 presidential election.
