Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said the FBI search of former President Donald Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago home was \u201cunbelievable\u201d and \u201cunprecedented,\u201d while demanding that Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray face Congress so they can be grilled about the raid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis makes absolutely no sense,\u201d Jordan said of the raid in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/politics\/trump-raid-jim-jordan-calls-garland-wray-house-judiciary-committee\">Friday remarks<\/a> to Fox News, while calling on Garland and Wray to testify before the House Judiciary Committee, on which Jordan serves as ranking member.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy not come talk to us and answer the questions that the American people have about this unprecedented event that took place on Monday night?\u201d the Republican lawmaker said.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan made a similar demand <a href=\"https:\/\/republicans-judiciary.house.gov\/press-release\/jim-jordan-demands-merrick-garland-christopher-wray-testify-before-the-house-judiciary-committee\/\">during an earlier appearance<\/a> on Fox News\u2019 The Ingraham Angle, where he called on the pair to testify before the Judiciary Committee \u201cso we can ask them the questions that the American people deserve answers to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is unbelievable,\u201d Jordan said. \u201cWe deserve answers now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With his demand for Garland\u2019s and Wray\u2019s testimony, Jordan joins other Republicans who have expressed outrage at what they say is score-settling by Trump\u2019s political foes.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/jim-jordan-1200x800-1.jpg\"><\/a> Rep. (Kevin Dietsch\/Getty Images) \u2018Assault\u2019 and \u2018Surprise Attack\u2019? <\/p>\n<p>The Justice Department and FBI have remained mostly quiet about the aim and probable cause behind the Mar-a-Lago raid and have declined to publicly comment to The Epoch Times and other news outlets.<\/p>\n<p>Garland did tell reporters on Aug. 11, however, that he \u201cpersonally approved the decision to seek a search warrant in this matter\u201d and that the Justice Department \u201cdoes not take such a decision lightly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wray said a day earlier that he wouldn\u2019t discuss any details of the FBI search of Trump\u2019s property, saying it\u2019s \u201cnot something I can talk about, and I\u2019d refer<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rep.
