Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/09\/republicans-slam-mar-a-lago-raid\/\">criticized<\/a> the raid, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/08\/garland-doj-kevin-mccarthy-trump-raid\/\">vowing<\/a> an investigation into the Justice Department.<\/p>\n<div id=\"rev-more-content\">\n<p>\u201cThere is a burden upon the government that does not normally exist, but we are a deeply divided country and many people believe this was another insurance policy taken out by high ranking officials,\u201d Turley said. \u201cThat does not make it true, but you have to recognize this is occurring close to an election, and you don\u2019t normally release an affidavit, I think there is a lot of justification to do it here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump claimed in a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/12\/trump-materials-fbi-seized-declassified-secured-storage\/\">statement<\/a> Friday that the materials were declassified and that he and his attorneys cooperated with the National Archives and Records Administration.<\/p>\n<p>The Justice Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
