Adam Schiff is being impeached.<\/p>\n<p>There is no evidence to suggest Schiff is facing impeachment.<\/p>\n<div id=\"rev-more-content\">\n<p>Schiff is reportedly vying to become the next leader of the House Democrats should House Speaker Nancy Pelosi retire after this year\u2019s midterm elections, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/07\/28\/adam-schiff-democratic-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Washington Post<\/a>. A widely shared video on Facebook claims he is about to be impeached.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIT\u2019S FINALLY REVEALED ADAM SCHIFF TO BE \ud835\udc08\ud835\udc0c\ud835\udc0f\ud835\udc04\ud835\udc00\ud835\udc02\ud835\udc07\ud835\udc04\ud835\udc03 \u2013 Brave Jim Jordan \ud835\udc01\ud835\udc0b\ud835\udc00\ud835\udc12\ud835\udc13\ud835\udc12 Schiff,\u201d reads the 14-minute video\u2019s title and caption. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/07\/26\/fact-check-jim-jordan-ocasio-cortez-dumb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Jim Jordan Call Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez \u2018Dumb\u2019 During A Recent Exchange?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The post\u2019s caption and title are inaccurate. Jim Jordan brought forth such a motion. Schiff makes no mention of any impeachment proceeding against him on his <a href=\"https:\/\/schiff.house.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a> or verified <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=impeachment%20(from%3ARepAdamSchiff)&#038;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a> account.<\/p>\n<p>The video included in the post offers no evidence to support the claim. Rather, it features a series of clips that show Jordan criticizing Schiff for a number of reasons unrelated to any alleged impeachment proceeding against him. The final <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dIPnS4Levi4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">clip<\/a> shows Jordan lambasting Schiff in December 2021 over the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/117th-congress\/house-bill\/5314#:~:text=This%20bill%20addresses%20issues%20involving,3)%20election%20integrity%20and%20security.&#038;text=sets%20forth%20provisions%20regarding%20Office,Counsel%20jurisdiction%20and%20enforcement%20authority.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Protect Our Democracy Act<\/a>, a bill sponsored by Schiff that seeks to prevent abuses of power by the president. None of the clips mention an impeachment proceeding against Schiff, who is the <a href=\"https:\/\/intelligence.house.gov\/about\/hpsci-majority-members.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">chairman<\/a> of the House Intelligence Committee.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time Jordan has been the subject of misinformation. <a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/07\/26\/fact-check-jim-jordan-ocasio-cortez-dumb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Check Your Fact<\/a> recently debunked a viral claim that alleged he called Democratic New York Rep.
