Val Arkoosh is among the activists taking shots at Oz. Arkoosh, a failed Senate candidate, has a history of pushing gender theory. When she was still a candidate for Senate, Arkoosh sent out an <a href=\"https:\/\/politicalemails.org\/messages\/474048\">email<\/a> calling a parent\u2019s right to refuse &#8220;gender affirming care&#8221; for their children a &#8220;gross violation of both human rights and the relationship between a patient and their doctor.&#8221; She also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eeoc.gov\/prohibited-employment-policiespractices#:~:text=Under%20the%20laws%20enforced%20by,)%2C%20disability%20or%20genetic%20information.\">falsely<\/a> claims that it\u2019s legal to discriminate against transgender individuals in employment.<\/p>\n<p>Sixty percent of Americans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/social-trends\/2022\/06\/28\/americans-complex-views-on-gender-identity-and-transgender-issues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">believe<\/a> that a person cannot change their gender and a plurality of Americans <a href=\"https:\/\/today.yougov.com\/topics\/politics\/articles-reports\/2022\/03\/21\/issues-relating-to-transgender-youth\">oppose<\/a> giving hormone blockers to children. Democratic opposition to parental rights has not worked out well for the party in past elections. Many pundits <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/11\/03\/glenn-youngkin-win-seen-as-victory-for-virginia-school-parents\/\">attribute<\/a> Virginia governor Glenn Youngkin\u2019s (R.) upset victory in November 2021 to his focus on expanding parental rights.<\/p>\n<p>Real Doctors Against Oz are criticizing Oz for having ties to the pharmaceutical industry, being pro-life, and promoting supplements during his time as a television host. Oz, meanwhile, is attacking Fetterman for avoiding Pennsylvania voters by running a &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DrOz\/status\/1549502840787304448?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1549502840787304448%7Ctwgr%5Ee3836a4137614549065282a1348947ee9bbca2d0%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&#038;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cityandstatepa.com%2Fpersonality%2F2022%2F07%2Foz-launches-fetterman-basement-tracker-social-media-attacks-intensify%2F374702%2F\">John Fetterman Basement Tracker<\/a>&#8221; cataloging the amount of time since his last public event.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the implication of the name of Fetterman\u2019s group, Oz is a real doctor.
