This comes as there are questions still unanswered in the unprecedented raid of a former president\u2019s home.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cFaithful adherence to the rule of law is the bedrock principle of the Justice Department and of our democracy,\u201d he stated.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Justice Department finally commented on Monday\u2019s search with Garland providing scant details. While speaking from the podium Thursday, he said the DOJ filed a motion to unseal the search warrant. He defended the search while suggesting the FBI had no other option but to serve the warrant.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cWhere possible, it is standard practice to seek less intrusive means as an alternative to a search and to narrowly scope any search that is undertaken,\u201d noted the attorney general.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>He further denounced the criticism and threats against federal agents. Garland also admitted he was the one who personally approved the search warrant, while insisting it\u2019s an even application of the law.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong>\u201cAll Americans are entitled to the even handed application of the law, to due process of the law and to the presumption of innocence,\u201d he continued. \u201cMuch of our work is, by necessity, conducted out of the public eye. We do that to protect the constitutional rights of all Americans and to protect the integrity of our investigations.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hunter Biden walks free.
