Violence and threats against law enforcement, including the FBI, are dangerous and should be deeply concerning to all Americans,\u201d Wray said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fbi.gov\/news\/press-releases\/press-releases\/statement-from-director-wray\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement<\/a> posted to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FBI\/status\/1557859905335435265\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Twitter<\/a> that echoed the way Attorney General Merrick Garland <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/11\/attorney-general-merrick-garland-admits-he-personally-approved-fbi-raid-on-trumps-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">berated<\/a> Americans for daring to question the flailing credibility of the Department of Justice and the FBI. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery day I see the men and women of the FBI doing their jobs professionally and with rigor, objectivity, and a fierce commitment to our mission of protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution,\u201d Wray continued. \u201cI am proud to serve alongside them.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"830\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-12-at-6.57.57-AM-1024x830-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-277470\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-12-at-6.57.57-AM-1024x830-1.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-12-at-6.57.57-AM-300x243-1.png 300w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-12-at-6.57.57-AM-768x623-1.png 768w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-12-at-6.57.57-AM.png 1194w\"><\/figure>\n<p>As Federalist Senior Legal Correspondent Margot Cleveland <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/12\/fbi-director-calls-legit-criticism-of-corrupt-fbi-violence-but-we-werent-born-yesterday\/\">noted<\/a> in her article on Friday, \u201cThere is nothing \u2018unfounded\u2019 in the condemnation of the FBI for its handling of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, and it is because of that widespread misconduct that Americans doubt the legitimacy of the FBI\u2019s decision to search the former president\u2019s home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/conventionofstates.com\/voters-say-federal-bureaucracy-too-big-focused-on-pushing-political-agenda-rather-than-serving-americans\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">More than half<\/a>\u00a0of U.S. voters say bureaucratic agencies, which would include the DOJ and FBI, are too big and too focused on advancing a political agenda. Maybe that\u2019s why the replies to Wray\u2019s statement on Twitter were flooded with people who weren\u2019t taking the bait on the FBI director\u2019s latest crybaby routine. <\/p>\n<p>Wray\u2019s attempt to silence Americans\u2019 legitimate criticisms with a statement not only prompted severe backlash but also <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jojo0077\/status\/1557863240415207432?s=20&#038;t=b6ZFYTKkdHInJhvt4gvsHw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">calls<\/a> for him to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HansonmanZ\/status\/1557860334010044417?s=20&#038;t=b6ZFYTKkdHInJhvt4gvsHw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">resign<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DMFreeman777\/status\/1557861863580438528?s=20&#038;t=b6ZFYTKkdHInJhvt4gvsHw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">be fired<\/a> and demands that the FBI be <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MarciaInTexas\/status\/1557867921032056833?s=20&#038;t=b6ZFYTKkdHInJhvt4gvsHw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">disbanded<\/a>, especially after it ignored certain kinds of violence including <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/inthecounty\/status\/1557864361892397058?s=20&#038;t=b6ZFYTKkdHInJhvt4gvsHw\">threats against Republican-nominated Supreme Court justices<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Others, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MZHemingway\/status\/1557865253295181825\">Federalist Editor-in-Chief Mollie Hemingway<\/a>, called out the agency for \u201cThreatening your legitimate critics for the damage you\u2019ve done to the country.\u201d Hemingway said that behavior \u201cis reprehensible and disgusting.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a>. \u201cBut let\u2019s not act like tweets have done more damage to your integrity than idk\u2026your entire history as an organization.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"557\" how his agency used its resources to smear parents concerned about masks and radical curricula in their children\u2019s schools. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe FBI officials who tagged school boards parents as \u2018terrorists,\u2019 leaked info to the press and conspired in texts to compromise political opponents and lied about it under oath, who altered a CIA email for probable cause to spy, already destroyed your credibility,\u201d radio host Dana Loesch <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DLoesch\/status\/1557893683529261057\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a>. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"382\" Its not them, it\u2019s us.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><\/figure>\n<p>The backlash to Wray\u2019s statement following the FBI\u2019s Mar-a-Lago raid isn\u2019t the first time the FBI director has felt the heat. Wray came under fire just last week after reportedly cutting a Senate Judiciary Committee oversight hearing short <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/08\/did-fbi-director-christopher-wray-bail-on-a-senate-hearing-so-the-dojs-gulfstream-could-take-him-on-vacation-in-new-york\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">to jet off<\/a> to his childhood vacation spot where his parents still own property in upstate New York.
