Kevin Hern (R-Okla.) and his family between\u00a0Nov. 27, 2018, and May 11, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office and our law enforcement partners will not tolerate online threats of violence meant to intimidate elected officials or members of our community,\u201d\u00a0U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ndok\/pr\/man-pleads-guilty-cyberstalking-and-threatening-representative-kevin-hern-1\">statement<\/a>. \u201cKeith Eisenberger now understands there are legal repercussions to committing these criminal acts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Eisenberger began making \u201cconcerning statements\u201d when Hern succeeded\u00a0Republican Rep. Jim Bridenstine in November 2018, when\u00a0Bridenstine\u00a0resigned to become NASA administrator.<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ said\u00a0Eisenberger\u00a0was known for showing up uninvited and lying to gain entry to political events.\u00a0Over time,\u00a0Eisenberger\u2019s statements, which were made on social media and during visits and phone calls to Hern\u2019s DC and Tulsa offices, became more violent.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Keith Eisenberger was known for showing up uninvited to political events &#038; attempting to get close to politicians. Today, he pleaded guilty for cyberstalking &#038; making multiple threatening statements regarding U.S. Representative Kevin Hern &#038; his family. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JCI8GEW8Vu\">https:\/\/t.co\/JCI8GEW8Vu<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/sq7u65fvbT\">pic.twitter.com\/sq7u65fvbT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 U.S. Attorney NDOK (@USAO_NDOK) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/USAO_NDOK\/status\/1557476530682580993?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 10, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<p>At times, Hern required increased security as a result of some of the threats, according to court documents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile the First Amendment gives us the right to express our own opinions, it does not protect those who cross the line of making violent criminal threats,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-fbi\">FBI<\/a> Oklahoma City Special Agent in Charge, Edward J.
