The organization, which has an annual budget of more than $2 million, nonprofit tracker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guidestar.org\/profile\/20-5367752\">Guidestar<\/a> notes, espouses the tenets of radical gender theory, but it also promotes defunding law enforcement, \u201cdecolonization and reparations\u201d for minorities, and anti-capitalism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe individual chapters, which operate in elementary, middle, and high schools, often use the language of \u2018LGBTQ inclusion\u2019 and \u2018anti-bullying\u2019 in their public relations, but behind the scenes, the central organization is driven by pure left-wing radicalism that extends far beyond sexuality,\u201d Rufo reported.<\/p>\n<p>The GSA Network relies on \u201cprogramming\u201d students in order to adequately participate in the group, Rufo notes. One of the documents obtained by Rufo is a toolkit for students to organize their GSA clubs online. The <a href=\"https:\/\/gsanetwork.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/GSA-Virtual-Toolkit-2020.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">toolkit<\/a> instructs students to engage in \u201cself work,\u201d which involves the student engaging in a self-examination of his or her inherent systemic racial or gender privilege, how those privileges contribute to the oppression of LGBTQ people and people of color, and how he or she can combat their privilege in order to more effectively \u201ccommit to dismantling these systems for collective liberation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The toolkit also instructs students to examine their purpose for engaging in self work in order to help them \u201cstay committed to liberation.\u201d It also tells students that \u201cself work happens everywhere\u2014not just in a GSA meeting.\u201d Included is an appendix with a sample rubric for students to examine their privileges and how they contribute to oppression of minority groups. The rubric is divided into five rows: \u201cGroups with systemic power (privilege),\u201d which includes straight people, cisgender people, men, and white people; \u201cSystems of oppression,\u201d which includes white supremacy, patriarchy, and imperialism; oppressed groups, which include transgender people, black and indigenous people; prejudice, which is described as \u201ca preconceived idea about a group with no factual backing\u201d; and discrimination, or \u201cthe actions and ways folks are affected by the system.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another document obtained by Rufo is a <a href=\"https:\/\/gsanetwork.org\/resources\/truth-nine-point-platform\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nine-point manifesto<\/a> the GSA Network borrowed from the National Trans Youth Council, which the GSA Network uses \u201cto guide our collective vision for gender justice and liberation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The platform explicitly borrows from the manifestos of other radical activist groups, like the Black Panther Party\u2019s Ten-Point Program, the Young Lord\u2019s 12 Point Program and Platform, and the Third World Gay Revolution. The nine points are:<\/p>\n<p>We Call for the Right to Self-Determination and Control of Our DestiniesWe Call for the Abolition of the Police, ICE, Borders and the Judicial SystemWe Call for an End to Disposability Politics and a Commitment to Transformative JusticeWe Call for an End of the Cisgender Heterosexual PatriarchyWe call for Decolonization and Reparations for all Indigenous and Black PeoplesWe Call for Comprehensive Education that Reflects our Histories and NeedsWe Call for an End to Global White SupremacyWe Call for Land Justice and Environmental JusticeWe Invite our Comrades, Accomplices and Allies to Join Us<\/p>\n<p>The GSA Network also engages in radical anti-capitalist programming, Rufo reports. A promotional website for a <a href=\"https:\/\/gsanetwork.org\/qylts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">summer camp<\/a> run by the organization includes a portion dedicated to \u201cEconomic Justice and Capitalism,\u201d which it describes as \u201coften the most immersive experience for campers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Campers learn \u201cto think through the ways that capitalism impacts our communities and greater systems that young folks interact with on a regular basis, including: school, incarceration, and employment.\u201d Campers also learn \u201chow capitalism erases parts of our community and therefore erases all of queer and trans community,\u201d along with \u201ctechniques\u201d messaging to share with their communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A left-wing organization is behind over 4,000 LGBTQ clubs and student groups in K-12 schools, combining the language of radical gender theory, anti-police, and anti-capitalist rhetoric, according to a new report.
