Russia\u2019s Egyptian embassy criticized Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid for his comments about Russian war crimes in April and called out Israeli military operations in Gaza, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>The Facebook video, viewed more than 38,000 times, claims the Israeli military recently destroyed a Russian nuclear submarine. The video\u2019s caption reads, \u201c10 minutes ago! Israel Sestroyed (<em>sic<\/em>) the Russian Nuclear Submarine Kazan,\u201d with the first minute of the video talking about the alleged incident. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/07\/29\/fact-check-russia-azerbaijan-war-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Are Russia And Azerbaijan At War With Each Other?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, there is no evidence a Russian nuclear submarine has recently been attacked by any country. Check Your Fact searched the Israeli Ministry of Defense\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mod.gov.il\/pages\/searchResults.aspx?u=https%3A\/\/english.mod.gov.il&#038;k=russia&#038;l=1033\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">website<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/english.mod.gov.il\/Press_Room\/Pages\/Press_Releases.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press releases<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/modisrael\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile\/100064906685415\/search\/?q=russian%20nuclear%20submarine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">media<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=russian%20submarine%20(from%3AIsrael_MOD)&#038;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accounts<\/a> but found no mention of a recent strike against Russia. A search of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.il\/en\/departments\/news?OfficeId=6cbf57de-3976-484a-8666-995ca17899ec&#038;skip=0&#038;limit=10\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press releases<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile\/100064772823935\/search\/?q=Russian%20Submarine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">social<\/a> media <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=submarine%20(from%3AIsraelgov)&#038;src=typed_query\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">posts<\/a> from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs also failed to yield any results related to a Russian nuclear submarine being destroyed.\u00a0There are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=kazan+submarine+sunk&#038;source=lnms&#038;tbm=nws&#038;sa=X&#038;ved=2ahUKEwiE2cXh3bz5AhXNKkQIHRoABtEQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&#038;biw=1440&#038;bih=821&#038;dpr=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">no credible news reports<\/a> about the alleged attack and the Facebook video offers no evidence to corroborate the claim.<\/p>\n<p>While there is no evidence the two countries have fought each other recently, Russia did allegedly fire on Israeli jets returning from a mission over Syria in May, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/in-first-russian-military-said-to-fire-s-300-missiles-at-israeli-jets-over-syria\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Times of Israel<\/a>.
