A spokesperson for CTV News confirmed the outlet never published such an article.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As cases of monkeypox continue to rise in the U.S., federal officials announced they will attempt to increase the supply of the monkeypox vaccine by shrinking the dosage to one-fifth of its current level, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2022-08-09\/u-s-will-stretch-supply-of-monkeypox-vaccine-by-five-times\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A Facebook post allegedly shows a screengrab of a CTV News article advising straight men to limit their numbers of male sexual partners to prevent monkeypox. <span>\u201cExperts advise straight men limit their number of male sexual partners to avoid contracting monkeypox,\u201d reads the title of the purported article. <\/span><span>Another<\/span> iteration shared on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ferryman4747\/status\/1556674321413652480\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a> garnered over 800 likes.<\/p>\n<p><span>The image is digitally fabricated. No such article can be found on CTV\u2019s <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/search-results\/search-ctv-news-7.137?q=experts+advise+straight+men+limit+their+number+of+sexual+partners+to+avoid+contracting+monkeypox+\"><span>website<\/span><\/a><span> or the outlet\u2019s verified <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%22Experts%20advise%20straight%20men%20limit%20their%20number%22%20(from:CTVNews)&#038;src=typed_query&#038;f=top\"><span>social<\/span><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/profile\/100064551077779\/search\/?q=Experts%20advise%20straight%20men%20limit%20their%20number\"><span>media<\/span><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ctvnews\/\"><span>accounts<\/span><\/a><span>.
