There is no evidence to suggest Hitler ever appeared on the magazine\u2019s cover.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Vogue was criticized by some for choosing to feature Zelenka on a recent cover of its magazine amid the ongoing war in Ukraine, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/07\/28\/style\/olena-zelenska-vogue.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The New York Times<\/a>. Some readers claimed the cover was \u201ctasteless\u201d and downplayed the reality of the situation on the ground, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>An image shared on Facebook claims the magazine once featured Hitler on a cover. The image shows two alleged Vogue covers, one purportedly from 1939 that features the Nazi leader and his wife, and another allegedly from this year that shows Zelenskyy in Zelenska embracing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is what we\u2019re supporting with our tax dollars,\u201d reads the post\u2019s caption. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/07\/20\/fact-check-alzheimers-biden-magazine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Was Joe Biden Featured On The Cover Of Alzheimer\u2019s Today Magazine?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While the photo of Zelenskyy and his wife appeared in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vogue.com\/article\/portrait-of-bravery-ukraines-first-lady-olena-zelenska\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2022 Vogue profile<\/a> of Zelenska, the image of Hitler and his wife is digitally altered. A <a href=\"https:\/\/yandex.com\/images\/search?source=collections&#038;rpt=imageview&#038;url=https%3A%2F%2Favatars.mds.yandex.net%2Fget-images-cbir%2F1525863%2F22uQvR-xtRTaLC6UzkYeZA7735%2Forig&#038;cbir_id=1525863%2F22uQvR-xtRTaLC6UzkYeZA7735\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reverse image search<\/a> reveals the original\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.alamy.com\/adolf-hitler-at-his-berghof-home-with-eva-braun-right-and-hannelore-image3439794.html?imageid=98FB9D66-2468-4211-B519-D95E4761877A&#038;p=13044&#038;pn=1&#038;searchId=bee645bcb8b084219e972e6525a6b235&#038;searchtype=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">photo<\/a>, which can be found on the stock image website Alamy, includes Hannelore Morell, the \u201cwife of Hitler\u2019s personal doctor,\u201d according to the image\u2019s description. The image shared on Facebook appears to have cut Morell out of the photo entirely.<\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=hitler+eva+braun+vogue+cover+1939&#038;oq=hitler+eva+braun+vogue+cover+1939&#038;aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60.8054j0j7&#038;sourceid=chrome&#038;ie=UTF-8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">no credible news reports<\/a> to suggest Hitler and Braun, who were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/this-day-in-history\/adolf-and-eva-marry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">married<\/a> only hours before they both committed suicide in 1945, ever appeared on the cover of the well-known fashion magazine in 1939.
