On second thought, maybe that revelation won\u2019t surprise you.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_175833\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-175833\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">A League of Their Own<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>RELATED: <a href=\"https:\/\/boundingintocomics.com\/2022\/06\/17\/variety-netflixs-interceptor-takes-on-right-wing-conspiracy-theories\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Variety: Netflix\u2019s Interceptor Takes On \u2018Right Wing Conspiracy Theories\u2019<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On August 2, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/darcy-carden-on-her-queer-a-league-of-their-own-bombshell-and-best-friendship-with-abbi-jacobson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Daily Beast<\/em> published excerpts of an interview<\/a> it did with D\u2019Arcy Carden for its The Last Laugh podcast. Carden stars as someone in <em>A League of Their Own<\/em> and while I\u2019m sure I could find out what her character\u2019s name is, I simply don\u2019t care enough to do so.<\/p>\n<p>During the interview, Carden describes how Abbi Jacobson, her co-star and the series co-creator, is \u201cone of my best friends who I adore.\u201d A few paragraphs later and the article reminds readers that \u201c[w]hen Jacobson was a guest on <em>The Last Laugh<\/em> last spring, she teased that unlike the movie, her version of the story would be focused on \u2018queerness in a huge way.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-block full\">\n<div class=\"video-player youtube\">[embedded content]<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>She definitely wasn\u2019t joking, of course, and based on the exclusive <em>A League of Their Own<\/em> clip provided to The Daily Beast, I\u2019m guessing that there will be even more Alphabet-ness in the series than even many jaded people would guess. And anyone who says it\u2019s not is truly insane.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I honestly don\u2019t have any follow-up to that.
