href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-national-archives\">National Archives<\/a> and Records Administration (NARA) provide information on the Federal Bureau of Investigation\u2019s (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-fbi\">FBI<\/a>) raid of former president Donald Trump\u2019s resort in Mar-a-Lago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNARA\u2019s singling out of President Trump\u2019s handling of official records stands starkly in\u00a0contrast to the way NARA has treated far clearer violations committed by politicians and\u00a0officials who are not <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-republicans\">Republicans<\/a>,\u201d 20 Republicans, including numerous Committee ranking members, wrote in an\u00a0Aug. 10\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=00000182-8961-d7ca-a1d7-bf77494a0000\">letter<\/a> addressed to U.S. Acting Archivist Debra Wall, first published by Politico.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo better understand the circumstances and NARA\u2019s role, if any, in the FBI raid, Oversight Republicans request an immediate briefing on this matter,\u201d the lawmakers wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The lawmakers\u2019 move marks the first of the GOP\u2019s promised effort in investigating the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/trump-fbi-has-raided-mar-a-lago-property-under-siege_4651554.html\">FBI\u2019s Aug. 8 raid<\/a> of Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago property for any underlying political motivation.<\/p>\n<p>It follows shortly after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/enough-house-gop-pledges-investigation-of-doj-with-november-win-after-fbi-raids-trumps-mar-a-lago_4651828.html\">GOP in unison cast doubt<\/a> over the nature of the raid\u2014House Republicans first, and Senate ones followed\u2014with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) promising to \u201cleave no stone unturned\u201d in an investigation of the Department of Justice that he says has \u201creached an intolerable state of weaponized politicization.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Republican lawmakers who wrote the letter allege that \u201cpolitical motivation\u201d underlies the actions of the FBI and the National Archives, as the agencies\u2019 treatment of Trump was \u201cso contrary\u201d to that of other former government officials\u2014such as former president Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton\u2014whom the Republicans say also had \u201csome Presidential Records Act violations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> What Republicans Are Requesting <\/p>\n<p>The GOP members of Congress are requesting that the NARA provide a \u201cMember-level briefing\u201d on the following no later than Aug. 17:<\/p>\n<p>  Any evidence of coordination between NARA and the FBI, or between NARA and the DOJ, on raiding the former president\u2019s property Any documents NARA produced and
