That\u2019s energy. That\u2019s everybody in the country, the poorest person and the richest, everybody is being whacked by that. It\u2019s going to increase the cost of energy for people.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/09\/varney-irs-small-business-audits\/\">(RELATED: \u2018They Will Go After Small Business\u2019: Fox Business Host Decries \u2018Weaponized\u2019 IRS)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you look at all the various taxes that they are putting on this, it\u2019s going to reduce the value of stocks, which has already dropped as a result of Biden\u2019s policies, this 1% tax on buybacks and so on will make your shares of stock in your 401(k), your IRA, your union pension all worth less,\u201d Norquist said. \u201cSo they will reduce the value of your life savings. And half the country is in the 401(k) and IRA business. That\u2019s not just the rich people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Norquist then turned his attention towards the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/03\/democrats-turbo-charging-irs-go-after-middle-class\/\">expanded<\/a> IRS, which will receive $80 billion in new funding over the next nine years to hire up to 87,000 agents in legislation <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/07\/senate-democrats-pass-740-billion-climate-healthcare-reconciliation-package-inflation-reduction-act\/\">passed<\/a> by the Senate Sunday. The agency has been under fire over the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2013\/05\/23\/irs-obfuscating-the-truth-about-targeting\/\">targeting<\/a> of conservative groups like the Tea Party as well as leaks to ProPublica, a left-wing media outlet, in <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2013\/05\/14\/irs-sent-confidential-info-on-conservatives-to-liberal-nonprofit-propublica\/\">2013<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/08\/internal-revenue-service-wealthy-americans-taxation-jeff-bezos\/\">2021<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd the new audits, they will have 1.2 million new audits,\u201d Norquist said. \u201cThere are less than 1,000 billionaires and there are only 500 companies in the Fortune 500. The rest of them is us.
