Jim Banks of Indiana said the Federal Bureau of Investigation\u2019s Monday raid on Mar-a-Lago unified Republicans in the House of Representatives during a Tuesday-night appearance on Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have never seen President Trump as fired up as what he was tonight,\u201d Banks, the chairman of the Republican Study Committee who was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/07\/21\/nancy-pelosi-rejects-two-republicans-january-6-select-committee-jim-jordan-jim-banks-capitol-riot\/\">excluded<\/a> from the Jan. 6 committee by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, told host Laura Ingraham. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/08\/lara-trump-mar-a-lago-raid-fbi\/\">(RELATED: \u2018Think About What They Could Do To You\u2019: Lara Trump Issues Dire Warning To American Public After Mar-a-Lago Raid)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is not deterred, he\u2019s not fazed at all by what the DOJ has done to him, an unprecedented move of raiding the home of a former president and not at all explaining to the American people about why they did it,\u201d Banks said.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The FBI <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/08\/donald-trump-statement-fbi-raid-mar-a-lago-florida\/\">raid<\/a>\u00a0reportedly centered around classified documents that allegedly were taken from the White House when former President Donald Trump left office in January 2021.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere were a dozen of us that visited President Trump tonight, we wanted to go and tell President Trump we stand with him,\u201d Banks said. \u201cAnd when Kevin McCarthy is Speaker of the House, Jim Jordan will be the right man at the right time, the right place as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee to hold the Department of Justice accountable for these actions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHouse Republicans are unified more than ever before to fight alongside President Trump to save this country,\u201d Banks continued. \u201cEveryone in the room encouraged President Trump to run for president again, and the sooner he gets out and starts campaigning, the better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump and the Justice Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
