Lisa Murkowski\u2019s Trump-endorsed primary challenger Kelly Tshibaka blasted the incumbent senator\u2019s silence over the FBI\u2019s unprecedented raid of a former president this week in an exclusive statement on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery American should condemn this gross abuse of power, because it means that there really are no limits on what federal agencies will do to citizens,\u201d Tshibaka told The Federalist. \u201cThe fact that Lisa Murkowski can\u2019t bring herself to call this what it is means she condones it. And that\u2019s exactly what a D.C. insider who sides with Biden would do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>More than 30 FBI agents scoured former President Donald Trump\u2019s 128-room Florida mansion on Monday in a dramatic escalation of the Democrats\u2019 weaponization of the Justice Department against the potential 2024 GOP front-runner. The search warrant was granted by a magistrate who donated to former President Barack Obama and has ties to Jeffrey Epstein. While ostensibly executed over potential violations of the Presidential Records Act, the 1978 law is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/trump-mar-a-lago-raid-2024-ballot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">rarely prosecuted<\/a>. Trump had also been cooperative with federal officials regarding what documents would return to government custody, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/08\/09\/fbi-even-searched-melanias-wardrobe-in-trump-raid\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according<\/a> to the New York Post, which revealed on Wednesday that FBI agents tried to turn the Mar-a-Lago security cameras off when they rummaged through Melania Trump\u2019s wardrobe. <\/p>\n<p>Murkowski did not immediately respond to The Federalist\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Tshibaka cited the FBI raid as a warning as Democrats plan to double the size of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as part of their latest colossal spending bill, which passed the Senate on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s clear that when the left is in charge, they weaponize government against their political adversaries, as with the FBI raid on President Trump and the hiring of 87,000 new IRS agents to terrorize citizens,\u201d Tshibaka said. \u201cMeanwhile, I don\u2019t remember any reports of the FBI raiding Hunter Biden\u2019s place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tshibaka\u2019s statement on Murkowski\u2019s silence comes six days before voters in Alaska will cast their ballots to decide whether to re-nominate Murkowski for another term or seek an end to her two decades in the Senate. In 2010, Murkowski lost her primary but retained her seat in the upper chamber through a triumphant write-in campaign.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday\u2019s episode of \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.spreaker.com\/user\/10614200\/will-kelly-tshibaka-finally-dethrone-the\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Federalist Radio Hour\u201d podcast<\/a>, Tshibaka was unconcerned that a repeat of 2010 could happen this fall but said she was \u201cconfident\u201d a two-way race will ensue with Murkowski in November. This year is the first that Alaska\u2019s elections will be conducted by rank-choice voting, with the top four candidates advancing to the general.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s only two candidates who\u2019ve raised more than $50,000 in this election,\u201d Tshibaka said. \u201cMe and Senator Murkowski are in the millions and then there\u2019s everybody else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/05\/26\/records-sen-lisa-murkowski-funded-by-lower-48-donors-despite-her-criticism-of-outside-influence\/\">According<\/a> to public campaign finance data, Murkowski is funded primarily by out-of-state interests, while Tshibaka\u2019s effort is reliant on Alaskan donors. <\/p>\n<p>Murkowski joins <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/09\/these-top-gop-senators-still-havent-condemned-democrats-banana-republic-fbi-raid-on-donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">more than a dozen<\/a> other Republican members of the upper chamber who have remained quiet on the FBI\u2019s raid of Trump. Murkowski was also one of seven Republican senators to vote for Trump\u2019s conviction in the Democrats\u2019 second impeachment following the Jan. 6, 2021 riot, and was the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/29\/what-has-murkowskis-vote-for-deb-haaland-done-for-alaska\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tie-breaking vote<\/a> for Interior Secretary Deb Haaland last year.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Tristan Justice is the western correspondent for The Federalist.
