Much like how his administration tried to cover up that the United States is <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/28\/its-official-the-joe-biden-recession-has-begun\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">in a recession<\/a>, Biden claimed that \u201cour economy had zero percent inflation in the month of July.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><\/figure>\n<p>This is, of course, untrue since energy, oil, and gas prices are still up by dozens of percentage points since last July. Yet the corporate press jumped on the White House messaging bandwagon and promoted July\u2019s numbers as a triumph for the shrinking economy. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-10-at-8.21.59-AM-1024x768-1-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-277330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-10-at-8.21.59-AM-1024x768-1-1.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-10-at-8.21.59-AM-300x225-1.png 300w, still close to 40-year highs, were \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/cnnbrk\/status\/1557350959952678918?s=20&#038;t=NVLxVhijSkWwNu36bJB8qA\">a breather<\/a>.\u201d The Associated Press similarly said the newest CPI documented the \u201cslight break from high inflation\u201d in July. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"963\" headlined its inflation article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2022\/08\/10\/inflation-cpi-report-july\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cInflation drops to zero in July due to falling gas prices.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"922\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/Screen-Shot-2022-08-10-at-9.13.11-AM-922x1024-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-277337\" correspondent Neil Irwin took it one step further when he <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Neil_Irwin\/status\/1557350172694290432?s=20&#038;t=NVLxVhijSkWwNu36bJB8qA\">tweeted<\/a> that slightly lower national gas prices, which are still averaging above $4 per gallon, and this month\u2019s CPI, which still showed rising prices, yielded \u201cgood inflation news.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><\/figure>\n<p>On top of marketing an 8.5 percent increase in prices to Americans as a victory, Democrats and the media are still promoting their tax-increase bill as a measure to \u201ckeep our progress on inflation from \u2026 getting worse.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"FLylKf83n27WKR0nxSsGcb1rCNSdE7eAg46pWYP2Aj5P5TBv1o3HkwJ8oiFgZYjD\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\"
