The 45-year-old is accused of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/12\/john-bolton-planned-coups-jan-6\/\">attempting<\/a> \u201cto arrange the murder of\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/11\/26\/john-bolton-national-security-attack-within\/\">Bolton<\/a> \u201clikely in retaliation for the January 2020 death of Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps \u2013 Qods Force \u2026 commander Qasem Soleimani,\u201d according to the department.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, through the Defendant, tried to hatch a brazen plot: assassinate a former U.S. official on U.S. soil in retaliation for U.S. actions,\u201d U.S. Attorney Matthew M.
