Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said on Aug. 9.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Trump is determined, now more than ever, to straighten this country out,\u201d Graham, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, told reporters at a press conference in South Carolina after speaking with the former president.<\/p>\n<p>FBI agents went to Mar-a-Lago, Trump\u2019s resort in Florida, on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>It remains unclear why the search warrant was executed, though Trump family members and lawyers have said the goal was to see whether Trump possessed any documents that should have been handed over when he left office.<\/p>\n<p>Graham was among the Republicans decrying the raid, noting that the FBI was also in charge of the counterintelligence investigation against Trump\u2019s 2016 campaign that hinged in part on a document paid for by the campaign of Hillary Clinton, who was Trump\u2019s rival for the presidency at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat did I learn from the Mueller investigation? The FBI when it comes to Trump has lost their way. This unending desire to destroy Trump and his family is frustrating for us,\u201d Graham said, referring to the probe into Trump and Trump associates by special counsel Robert Mueller, which uncovered no collusion between the campaign and Russia.<\/p>\n<p>A separate review, conducted by the Department of Justice Inspector General\u2019s Office, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/inspector-general-finds-17-significant-errors-in-applications-for-spying-on-trump-campaign-associate_3169251.html\">found serious errors and omissions<\/a> in applications the FBI lodged for warrants to spy on Carter Page, a Trump campaign associate.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin Clinesmith, an FBI lawyer, admitted in court to manipulating an email from the CIA to state that Page was not an asset when the original version said he was.<\/p>\n<p>Clinesmith avoided jail time and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/former-fbi-https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/former-fbi-lawyer-who-fabricated-evidence-in-trump-russia-probe-restored-to-good-standing-by-dc-bar_4163223.htmllawyer-who-fabricated-evidence-in-trump-russia-probe-restored-to-good-standing-by-dc-bar_4163223.html\">kept his law license<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI also relied in part <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/steele-dossier-played-essential-role-in-fbi-obtaining-spy-warrant-on-trump-campaign-aide_3169413.html\">on the dossier<\/a> compiled by ex-British<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former President Donald Trump is determined to fix the United States after his residence was raided by the FBI,\u00a0Sen.
