A federal judge <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/08\/11\/democrats-house-oversight-trump-financial-records-court\/\">ruled in August 2021<\/a> that Trump\u2019s accountants had to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/21040030-trumphseosightrlg081121\">hand over tax returns and financial records<\/a> from after Trump became president to the House committee.<\/p>\n<p>House Democrats are investigating whether Trump accepted payments from foreign governments while in office, as well as auditing a lease granted for a Trump business in Washington, D.C., <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/judge-hands-house-democrats-partial-victory-fight-trump-s-financial-n1276575\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according to NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Breaking: The D.C.
