Michael Bennet released a campaign ad depicting him fly fishing in outdoor gear. However, the Colorado Democrat reportedly obtained a 24-hour fishing license to shoot the ad \u2014 according to Axios \u2014 raising questions about his everyday outdoorsman persona on the river.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m Michael Bennet, I approve this message,\u201d the senator <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zfgniAs-MQ8\">says<\/a> in the 30-second ad, which is titled \u201cReel Focused\u201d and came out on Aug. 1. \u201cAnd I caught that fish.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/09\/22\/nevada-candidate-big-dan-rodimer-parody-the-hangover-live-tiger-campaign-ad\/\"><strong>(RELATED: Nevada Congressional Candidate Parodies \u2018The Hangover\u2019 And Features A Live Tiger In Wild New Ad)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bennet\u2019s campaign provided documents to Axios on the fishing license for a day on the Arkansas River, which flows through Colorado, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/local\/denver\/2022\/08\/05\/colorado-recount-affirms-primary-results-tina-peters\">the outlet<\/a> reported. Felt, <a href=\"https:\/\/svlhwcd.org\/greg-felt\/\">who<\/a> is strictly cited as a fly fishing guide, is also a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chaffeecounty.org\/commissioners\">commissioner<\/a> in Chaffee County, Colorado, that was appointed by Democratic Colorado Gov. Jared Polis to the Colorado Water Conservation Board.<\/p>\n<p>Bennet\u2019s fishing ad comes on the heels of a Washington Free Beacon <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/democrats\/this-dem-senator-is-starting-off-his-reelection-campaign-with-a-lie\/\">report<\/a> on him purportedly misleading voters about \u201cnot taking a dime in corporate PAC money.\u201d Bennet\u2019s campaign raked in over $60,000 last quarter from PACs that have accepted corporate PAC money, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>Colorado\u2019s Senate general election will take place on Nov. 8.
