The vehicle and the house were both engulfed in flames and Heche suffered severe burns. A rep for the 53-year-old over the weekend said the actress was in stable condition, a far cry from a more recent statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this time Anne is in extreme critical condition,\u201d a rep for Heche said Monday, <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/08\/anne-heche-in-extremely-critical-condition-remains-in-a-coma-following-fiery-car-crash-1235087666\/\">according<\/a> to Deadline. \u201cShe has a significant pulmonary injury requiring mechanical ventilation and burns that require surgical intervention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe is in a coma and has not regained consciousness since shortly after the accident,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p>Heche reportedly crashed into a garage of an apartment complex on Friday before backing up, speeding off, and eventually crashing into the Los Angeles home.<\/p>\n<p>In video obtained by TMZ, Heche\u2019s blue Mini Cooper is seen near the garage, and it seems the actress is speaking to residents of the complex. A male voice repeatedly asks Heche to get out of the car, and the actress responds, \u201cno, sir,\u201d the video suggests.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle in the video then backs up and speeds off.<\/p>\n<p>Video from a home security camera shows the Mini Cooper moving at high speeds down a street before crashing into the home.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lafd.org\/alert\/knockdown-structure-fire-08052022-inc0707\">According<\/a> to a press release from the Los Angeles Fire Department, the \u201cSix Days Seven Nights\u201d actress barreled into a\u00a0738 square foot two-story home \u201ccausing structural compromise and erupting in heavy fire prior to LAFD arrival.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It took 59 firefighters 65 minutes to \u201caccess, confine and fully extinguish the stubborn flames within the heavily damaged structure, and rescue one female adult found within the vehicle, who has been taken to an area hospital by LAFD Paramedics in critical condition,\u201d the press release added. \u201cNo other injuries reported.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/actress-anne-heche-boozed-in-podcast-dropped-hours-before-she-drove-into-a-home-sustained-severe-burns-report\">The Daily Wire<\/a> on Sunday, Heche was reportedly drinking vodka and downing wine coolers while appearing on a podcast that dropped hours before the crash.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe each have a bottle in front of us because our friends sent us a bottle Re:Find!\u201d the actress <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/08\/06\/anne-heche-will-pull-through-after-horrific-car-crash-thomas-jane\/\">reportedly<\/a> said on the \u201cBetter Together\u201d podcast. Re:Find is a type of vodka. \u201cAnd we are drinking it \u2014 with wine chasers,\u201d Heche later added.<\/p>\n<p>The actress, best known for dating Ellen DeGeneres, was apparently slurring her words throughout the podcast, according to TMZ\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2022\/08\/06\/anne-heche-new-video-speeding-residential-street-before-crash\/?adid=share-tw\">reporting<\/a>.
