She was banned as a result.<\/p>\n<p>Julie Jaman <a href=\"https:\/\/www.porttownsendfreepress.com\/2022\/08\/02\/mountain-view-pool-punishes-woman-for-her-gender-expression-and-identity-part-one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">retreated<\/a> to the locker room after swimming laps at the Mountain View pool, which is managed by the Olympic Peninsula YMCA. She says she saw a \u201cman in a woman\u2019s bathing suit\u201d who was \u201cwatching little girls pull down their bathing suits in order to use the toilets in the dressing room.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI reacted by telling him to leave. And the consequence is that I have been banned from the pool,\u201d Jaman said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mynorthwest.com\/3472466\/rantz-wa-schools-intentionally-dangerously-lie-to-parents-about-their-childs-identity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Rantz: WA schools intentionally, dangerously lie to parents about their child\u2019s \u2018identity\u2019<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>80-year-old banned for being uncomfortable around male genitalia<\/h3>\n<p>Jaman recounted the traumatic experience to the <a href=\"https:\/\/cityofpt.granicus.com\/player\/clip\/2465?view_id=4&#038;redirect=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Port Townsend City Council<\/a>\u00a0August 1. This incident highlighted the alarming left-wing trend of ignoring the comfort and privacy of women.<\/p>\n<p>The woman noted that accommodation of someone who is presumably transgender came as a surprise. Jaman has been swimming there for nearly 40 years and never had such an experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is no signage informing women [that] the shower room is now all-gender and what that means nor have parents been informed of what they can expect with these news policies. The Y has not provided any dressing shower room options for women who do not want to be exposed to men who identify as women. It is unconscionable that the YMCA would instigate these new policies without clearly informing pool patrons and parents,\u201d Jaman told the Council.<\/p>\n<p>Her speech received a round of applause.<\/p>\n<h3>Remember women\u2019s rights?<\/h3>\n<p>Liberals used to claim to be the party of women, but now they can\u2019t define the term.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than seek a fair policy that respects transgender people\u00a0<em>and\u00a0<\/em>women, the YMCA, according to Jaman, sided with a fringe progressive view that pretends all women should be comfortable around male body parts in the locker room.<\/p>\n<p>But not all women and girls are comfortable; they have every right to believe that they should be free from male body parts in a female locker room. But to hold this view, in 2022, is bigoted according to left-wing partisans who are willing to out-woke one another to earn the title of most progressive.<\/p>\n<p>There is a simple way to accommodate everyone with dignity, Jaman explained <a href=\"https:\/\/mynorthwest.com\/3587051\/dori-female-swimmer-banned-pool-dispute-biological-male-womens-shower\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in an interview with the Dori Monson Show on KIRO Newsradio<\/a>. She wants a separate space \u201cfor women and children who do not want to mix it up for their own dignity and well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is reasonable. But to accept that transgender women are different from biological women is a left-wing sin.<\/p>\n<p>Neither the YMCA nor progressive activists are looking for accommodation or women\u2019s comfort. They\u2019re looking to force their views on everyone. Any kind of accommodation would deem transgender women as different.
