Marco Rubio that would have limited federal pregnancy programs to biological women.<\/p>\n<p>The amendment would have clarified language affirming that only <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/12\/title-ix-schools-biological-men-womens-sports-gender-identity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">women<\/a> could get pregnant, therefore only <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/10\/01\/biological-male-advantages-women-sports-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">biological women<\/a> would have access to federal <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/27\/nbc-yamiche-alcindor-transphobia-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">pregnancy<\/a> programs. The amendment was being voted on as part of a lengthy debate and vote on the $740 billion Inflation Reduction Act.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFederal funding should reflect reality: only women can get pregnant,\u201d Rubio said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rubio.senate.gov\/public\/index.cfm\/press-releases?id=841B8053-2126-41A1-A314-5888D35F9C96\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">statement<\/a>\u00a0following the vote. \u201cUnfortunately, it looks like my Democrat colleagues don\u2019t trust \u2018the science\u2019 after all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>All 50 Republican senators voted for the amendment while all 48 Democrats and two independent senators voted against the amendment. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0o1njlzgurA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Can Men Get Pregnant?
