He remained in quarantine until the morning of Aug. 7, before leaving for\u00a0Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he owns a home, according to pool reporters.<\/p>\n<p>When departing the White House, Biden told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/08\/06\/politics\/joe-biden-covid-19-negative\/index.html\">reporters<\/a>\u00a0that \u201cI\u2019m clear\u201d and that he was \u201cfeeling good,\u201d according to footage.<\/p>\n<p>Biden hadn\u2019t left the White House since July 21, when he first tested positive for the virus. As he was taking a five-day course of Paxlovid, he tested positive after several days of negative tests, sparking concerns and questions about how common so-called Paxlovid rebound cases are.<\/p>\n<p>Biden\u2019s vital signs stayed normal throughout his initial COVID-19 diagnosis and rebound infection. The 79-year-old\u2019s symptoms included a cough, a sore throat, aches, and a runny nose.
