Jackson Women\u2019s Health Center to return the abortion issue back to the states. <a href=\"http:\/\/iga.in.gov\/legislative\/2022ss1\/bills\/senate\/1#digest-heading\">The Indiana ban<\/a> will take effect September 15, 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Senate Bill 1 also takes away licenses from abortion clinics in the state. Once the bill takes effect, abortions will only be performed in hospitals or outpatient centers owned by hospitals, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/indiana-becomes-first-state-nation-approve-near-total-abortion-ban-post-roe?intcmp=tw_fnc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fox reported<\/a>. The bill also puts strict limits on when abortions may be performed and mandates that abortions performed in cases of rape or incest may only be performed within the first 10 weeks of pregnancy. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/04\/abortion-referendum-2022-midterm-election-kansas-california-kentucky-michigan-montana\/\">(RELATED:\u00a0Abortion Won\u2019t Save Democrats In The Midterms, Despite Their Newfound Hopes)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing the overturning of Roe, I stated clearly that I would be willing to support legislation that made progress in protecting life,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/events.in.gov\/event\/gov_holcomb_statement_following_conclusion_of_special_session?utm_campaign=widget&#038;utm_medium=widget&#038;utm_source=State+of+Indiana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Holcomb said in a statement<\/a>.
