Look at him \u2026 brazenly smoking weed on Joe Rogan\u2019s podcast,&#8217;\u201d the Tesla mogul shared.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey drug tested me for everything,\u201d he added. \u201cRandomly. I couldn\u2019t like you know pick a day \u2026 I had to have a whole year of random drug tests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When pressed further by the one of the hosts that he must\u2019ve thought he\u2019d get some kind of backlash, Musk admitted he didn\u2019t know it was going to be as bad as it was.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe consequences for me and for SpaceX were actually not good,\u201d the CEO admitted. \u201cBecause it\u2019s federally illegal \u2026 unfortunately it wasn\u2019t just me but the whole company. All of SpaceX had to have random drug tests.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Rogan interviewed Musk in his then-Los Angeles studio, before the podcaster moved to Texas during the pandemic. The state of California legalized recreational cannabis consumption in 2018, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/08\/05\/elon-musk-feds-drug-tested-me-after-i-smoked-weed-with-joe-rogan\/\">The New York Post<\/a> noted.
