Doug Ducey.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/2022-election\/results\/arizona\/\">The Associated Press<\/a> projected Lake as the winner with about 88.3% of the ballots counted. Lake came in with 46.8% of the vote. Lawyer Karrin Taylor Robson came in second to Lake with 44.0%.<\/p>\n<p>Her victory is also a <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/nation\/states\/center-square\/trump-and-pence-endorse-opposing-candidates-arizonas-gop-primary\">showdown<\/a> between former President Trump and former Vice President Pence, the latter of whom endorsed Taylor Robson.<\/p>\n<p>Lake celebrated her victory late Tuesday evening after a source told\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ElAmerican_\/status\/1554746746001039361\">El American<\/a>\u00a0that she is the projected primary winner.<\/p>\n<p>Lake, a former television news journalist, is <a href=\"https:\/\/justthenews.com\/video\/kari-lake-urges-current-az-governor-do-more-border-crisis-and-declare-invasion\">known<\/a> for her tough stance on the southern border.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Kari will make her wonderful family, and the MAGA movement, very proud,&#8221; Trump said when he endorsed her.<\/p>\n<p>Lake&#8217;s victory marked a perfect record for Trump-endorsed Republicans in the state&#8217;s major primary races.
