Wade with June\u2019s Dobbs v. Jackson decision.<\/p>\n<p>Government officials and activists have attacked pro-life legislation in Louisiana, Kentucky, Idaho, Kansas and elsewhere, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/abortion-legislature-idaho-boise-planned-parenthood-80a20d9c4f07e91917513c205c199f9b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Associated Press<\/a>. Such laws have faced court challenges to their active status as judges weigh their constitutionality.<\/p>\n<p>Voters in Kansas <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/02\/kansas-abortion-referendum-result-election-2022-midterm-roe-v-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rejected<\/a> a proposed state constitutional amendment on Tuesday that would have declared abortion was not a right according to the state\u2019s constitution. The measure also <a href=\"http:\/\/kslegislature.org\/li\/b2021_22\/measures\/documents\/hcr5003_00_0000.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sought<\/a> to deny state constitutional protection of government abortion funding. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/08\/euro-leaders-condemn-roe-stricter-abortion-laws-themselves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: EURO HYPOCRISY: Leaders Condemn Roe Reversal But Have Stricter Abortion Laws Themselves)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Justice Department (DOJ) <a href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.idd.50547\/gov.uscourts.idd.50547.1.0_1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sued<\/a> Idaho <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/08\/02\/biden-doj-sues-idaho-abortion-ban-department-of-justice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tuesday<\/a> over a state <a href=\"https:\/\/legislature.idaho.gov\/statutesrules\/idstat\/title18\/t18ch6\/sect18-622\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">measure<\/a> scheduled to be effective Aug. 25, arguing it violates the federal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/uscode\/text\/42\/1395dd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act<\/a> (EMTALA) by not allowing women to have abortions when their health could be seriously but non-fatally comprised. The state measure was written to come into full force after the U.S. Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/21pdf\/19-1392_6j37.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">overturned<\/a> Roe.<\/p>\n<p>Idaho Attorney Gen. A circuit court judge granted Republican State Attorney Gen. Daniel Cameron an emergency stay reimposing the restrictions, a move that will be appealed to the Kentucky Supreme Court, the outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/abortion-us-supreme-court-health-kentucky-louisville-b75b44423500604fd8b5f22825fb38d0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A legal battle in Louisiana <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/abortion-louisiana-baton-rouge-jeff-landry-cfbcb08e05a55a893ebca3cbfcf6f430\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reportedly<\/a> opened some abortion access despite state law almost fully banning abortion.
