(Rob Hampson\/Unsplash) <\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors object to the proposed probe, calling it \u201can extraordinary intrusion.\u201d But Sittenfeld\u2019s lawyers call the request \u201csensible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They say inspection of the juror\u2019s devices is the only way to definitively prove whether Sittenfeld\u2019s right to an impartial <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-jury\">jury<\/a> was violated as a result of \u201cextraneous influence\u201d that could have resulted from Juror X\u2019s Facebook postings.<\/p>\n<p>As of Aug. 3, both sides were waiting for U.S. District Court Judge Douglas Cole to rule on the request.<\/p>\n<p> Contempt citing possible? <\/p>\n<p>During trials, jurors are routinely told: Don\u2019t read, watch or listen to any accounts of the case. Don\u2019t conduct your own research.
