FOX Business has reached out to the company for more information.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to the Sacramento Bee, a company spokesperson declined to elaborate on the changes, but clarified that GEICO was not leaving the Golden State.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/personal-finance\/driving-gas-prices-rising-inflation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>66% OF AMERICANS REDUCE DRIVING AMID HIGH GAS PRICES: SURVEY<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We continue to write policies in California, and we remain available through our direct channels for the more than 2.18 million California customers presently insured with us,&#8221; the company told the paper. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The California Department of Insurance, meanwhile, told FOX Business it is following the situation closely.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are monitoring to make sure consumers are protected,&#8221; CDI said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/apps-products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX BUSINESS APP<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;California has a strong insurance market with more than 130 companies competing for consumers\u2019 private passenger auto business and more than 70 companies writing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/category\/personal-finance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">homeowners insurance<\/a>,&#8221; CDI said. &#8220;We encourage consumers to look at their options for coverage in California\u2019s competitive marketplace.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Check out what&#8217;s clicking on FoxBusiness.com.
