(Allan Stein\/The Epoch Times) <\/p>\n<p>Many opted to vote in person to cast their ballots correctly, said precinct poll director Heather Scott.<\/p>\n<p>Some GOP voters also wanted to know how they could track their ballot online, she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re getting a lot of people coming in with early ballots,\u201d Scott told The Epoch Times. \u201cOur demographic usually is that Democrats come in [to vote] towards the end of the day.\u00a0With COVID, everybody wanted to vote by mail.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scott said voter turnout was \u201cpretty busy\u201d at 9 a.m.\u2014\u201dbusy if we get more than 10 people in an hour, that\u2019s busy. Because, normally, we don\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like that it\u2019s open to all the precincts. Now, we\u2019re getting a variety of people\u2014not just my regular people, which are few and far between. They come sporadically throughout the day. We\u2019re getting a rush now and then, which is much nicer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p> Voters \u2018Keyed Up\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>Scott said election workers were braced for a coming spike in voters arriving later in the day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we\u2019re going to see it spike quite a bit. They\u2019re keyed up about this election.
