I\u2019d still get fired and be without a job,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He faced ostracism in his own West End neighborhood\u2014and no one from the local prep school he attended has helped finance his Senate campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re all tied into businesses. They all have social relationships. I don\u2019t belong to any country clubs. I don\u2019t belong to any Masonic organizations. I have no strings at all attached to me, but almost everybody else has lots of strings attached to them,\u201d McCloskey said.<\/p>\n<p> Responds to \u2018Eric\u2019 endorsement <\/p>\n<p>On Aug. 1, former President Donald Trump endorsed \u201cEric\u201d\u2014a move that could be taken as support for either former Missouri Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/t-eric-greitens\">Eric Greitens<\/a> or his top rival in the primary, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt.<\/p>\n<p>McCloskey has<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>More than two years ago, Mark McCloskey and his wife took up arms to protect their West End home in St. Louis during the George Floyd protests and riots of 2020.
