A spokesperson for the WHO Europe denied the cliam.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Members of the WHO\u2019s European region have pressured the organization to consider relocating a key WHO office out of Moscow in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Health\/wireStory\/european-countries-moscow-office-moved-84645141\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ABC News<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.eu\/article\/world-health-organization-moscow-office-russia-war-ukraine-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Politico<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, an image shared on Facebook claims it is Russia that has expelled the WHO. The image includes a photo of WHO Director Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus along with text that reads, \u201c#Russia expels the World Health Organization and closes its offices in Moscow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou know if more countries did this there would be less fear and maybe more trust in government,\u201d reads the post\u2019s caption. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/06\/16\/fact-check-world-health-organization-clothing-import-freeze\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did The WHO Recommend Halting Clothing Shipments Due To Monkeypox?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This claim is false. There are no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=russia+expels+world+health+organization&#038;source=lnms&#038;tbm=nws&#038;sa=X&#038;ved=2ahUKEwjuiMLNkqb5AhX0pIkEHb_nClkQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&#038;biw=1431&#038;bih=731&#038;dpr=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">credible news reports<\/a> about Russia taking any such action against the organization. There are also no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announcements or press releases<\/a> on the WHO\u2019s website to corroborate the alleged claim.
