The lawsuit lists ectopic pregnancies and severe preeclampsia as conditions that doctors would be prevented from treating under the state\u2019s abortion ban.<\/p>\n<p>Idaho\u2019s abortion ban was passed in 2020 as a \u201ctrigger law\u201d set to go into effect after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.<\/p>\n<div class=\"zn-body__paragraph\" data-paragraph-id=\"paragraph_B96DD4B6-2CC0-F19E-5EA9-5F9059A1D367\" data-act-id=\"paragraph_2\">\u201cIn the days since the Dobbs decision, there have been widespread reports of delays or denials to pregnant women experiencing medical emergencies,\u201d Attorney General Merrick Garland said, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2022\/08\/02\/politics\/justice-department-abortion-idaho\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">according<\/a> to CNN. \u201cWe will use every tool at our disposal to ensure that pregnant women get the medical care that they are entitled to.\u201d<\/div>\n<p>The White House and the DOJ did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation\u2019s requests for comment.<\/p>\n<p><em>This is a breaking news story and will be updated.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
