This is how we got into this problem in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>This makes no economic sense. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/07\/27\/opinion-bidens-disastrous-agenda-is-the-real-emergency-not-the-climate-puckett\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: PUCKETT: Biden\u2019s Disastrous Agenda Is The Real Emergency, Not The Climate)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It does make a great deal of political sense.<\/p>\n<p>Start with the spending explosion for the Internal Revenue Service that Biden demanded from the start. That is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/treasury-confirms-biden-plans-hire-87000-new-irs-agents-enough-fill-nats-park-twice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">$80 billion to deploy 87,000 new IRS agents<\/a>. Enough to fill every seat in Nationals Park\u00a0<em>twice<\/em>. Enough to fill the Roman Colosseum 1.7 times.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s more new IRS agents than the entire combined personnel of all U.S. aircraft carriers.<\/p>\n<p>The bill also gives taxpayer money to the\u00a0IRS to buy new cars, and more money for IRS \u201coffice rent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The official IRS watchdog \u2014 the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration \u2014 reports that the IRS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/irs-unit-has-more-cars-agents-and-fails-ensure-cars-are-used-official-business\/\">already has more cars than it needs<\/a>. And that the IRS cannot show that its employees are limiting their use of those cars to official business.<\/p>\n<p>And why more office space when the IRS has been forced to admit that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/irs-chief-53-of-agents-work-from-home-full-time\/\">more than half<\/a>\u00a0of its employees\u00a0<em>never\u00a0<\/em>come into an office? They should be downsizing office space.<\/p>\n<p>While we are at it one wonders if the IRS will buy more guns and ammo with an extra $80 billion to play with. The Inspector General\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/irs-agents-accidentally-discharged-guns-more-often-they-intentionally-fired-them\/\">found<\/a>\u00a0that IRS special agents can be careless with firearms: they accidentally discharge their guns more often than intentionally fire them.<\/p>\n<p>And the IRS often tried to cover up these misfires only to be discovered by the Inspector General, which then noted:\u00a0<em>\u201cIn three of the four accidental discharges that were not reported, the accidental discharges may have resulted in property damage or personal injury.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The specific property damage and personal injury was redacted. Why?<\/p>\n<p>What is the IRS doing with guns? At last count the IRS had\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/irs-has-4600-guns-and-five-million-rounds-of-ammo-will-dem-bill-grow-arsenal\/\">stockpiled<\/a>\u00a04,600 guns and five million rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>This includes 3,282 pistols, 621 shotguns, 539 rifles, 15 fully automatic firearms and four revolvers. How many more will they buy with your tax dollars?<\/p>\n<p>Another IRS watchdog report found\u00a0that the IRS\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/inspector-general-irs-destroyed-30-million-taxpayer-documents\/\">intentionally destroyed<\/a>\u00a030 million tax statements sent in by the American people. The IRS didn\u2019t tell anyone about it. A drop-in inspection is the only reason they got caught.<\/p>\n<p>If you stacked up 30 million documents you\u2019d have a pile two miles high. These paper documents were either burned or thrown in a dumpster. The IRS won\u2019t say. But they are gone. No accountability.<\/p>\n<p>Imagine if you told the IRS that your tax paperwork went missing.\u00a0How would that go over?<\/p>\n<p>And when someone in the IRS gave or allowed to have stolen the private taxpayer files of thousands of Americans over 15 years the Biden administration promised to get to the bottom of it.<\/p>\n<p>The personal tax files were given to a progressive news organization that published details of the documents in the hope they\u2019d help Democrats impose tax increases.<\/p>\n<p>But here we are 14 months later and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/stolen-irs-files-a-year-later-still-no-answer-from-biden-administration\/\">we still have no answers<\/a>\u00a0from the Biden administration or the IRS.<\/p>\n<p>Does it make sense to send tens of billions of additional dollars to such a dysfunctional agency?<\/p>\n<p>Fun fact to know and tell: The labor union that represents IRS employees collects labor union dues from its members.\u00a0The union contributes\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/irs-union-gives-100-of-pac-spending-to-democrats\/\">100% of its PAC contributions<\/a>\u00a0to one party: the Democrat party.<\/p>\n<p>More IRS agents means more dues money and more cash to the Democrat party and Democrat candidates.<\/p>\n<p>What congressmen and Senators will vote to give an agency with so much disfunction more money? Let\u2019s look at who has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/how-the-dem-bill-supersizes-the-irs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">received campaign contributions from the IRS union<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>$30,000 to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. $30,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee\u00a0And $30,000 to the DNC Services Corporation, an entity\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/profile\/company\/0108345D:US\">tasked<\/a>\u00a0with \u201ccoordinating party organizational activities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The IRS union also \u2013 coincidentally \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/irs-union-gives-100-of-pac-spending-to-democrats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gives money to Democrats in key Senate races<\/a>. Examples include $10,000 for Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) and $5,000 each for Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.)<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atr.org\/5-tax-hikes-in-dem-reconciliation-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Manchin bill<\/a> also imposes tax increases on businesses that invest heavily in new jobs and buildings and training. Companies that plow all their earnings into growing the firm, hiring more people etc. will now be hit by a 15% tax on that investment as we are in a recession.<\/p>\n<p>The target: the fastest growing, most successful companies that are putting money into their companies will be punished. Tough to invent a stupider tax.<\/p>\n<p>Both Republican and Democrat congressmen and administrations have supported the investment tax credit and full expensing which would be undermined by the $300 billion plus tax hike in this\u00a0tax and spend bill.<\/p>\n<p>This version of BBB will slow economic growth, job creation and\u00a0new investment. And it will recycle your tax dollars through the government to Democrat politicians.<\/p>\n<p>The bill will also put price controls on life saving drugs that now will NOT be invented over the next generation. The price controls come with a 95% federal excise tax on U.S. manufacturers. CBO finds that this will cause 15 fewer new drugs to come onto the market.
