While some individuals are attributing the GOPs pending 2022 primary success to the power gained by candidates backed by Donald Trump, others say the former president\u2019s endorsements will have little effect.<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/fivethirtyeight.com\/features\/the-party-that-loses-this-year-could-still-win-a-big-consolation-prize\/\">noted<\/a> by FiveThirtyEight, \u201cOne of the most ironclad rules in American politics is that the\u00a0party of the president in office always loses ground in midterm elections.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, a series of polls between July 5-25 show the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/president-biden-job-approval-7320.html#!\">job approval rating for President Joe Biden<\/a>\u00a0is consistently flailing between 33 percent and 45 percent. More drastic are the polls between June 12 and July 25 showing that anywhere between 70 percent to 87 percent believe the country is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/direction_of_country-902.html\">headed in the wrong direction<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Between June 28 and July 26, polls <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/president_biden_job_approval_economy-7321.html\">showed<\/a> 52 to 68 percent of those surveyed disapprove of Biden\u2019s handing of the economy. On foreign policy, 52 to 61 percent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/president_biden_job_approval_foreign_policy-7322.html\">disapprove<\/a> of Biden\u2019s job performance, and anywhere from 52 and 63 percent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/epolls\/other\/president-biden-job-approval-immigration-7359.html\">disapprove<\/a> of Biden\u2019s handing of the immigration crisis.<\/p>\n<p> Trump Endorsements: Wins vs. Losses <a href=\"https:\/\/img.theepochtimes.com\/assets\/uploads\/2022\/04\/14\/Donald-Trump-1200x800.jpg\"><\/a> Former President Donald Trump speaks at a rally at The Farm at 95 in Selma, N.C., on April 9, 2022. (Allison Joyce\/Getty Images) <\/p>\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Endorsements_by_Donald_Trump\">analysis of wins verses losses<\/a> for Trump-backed candidates as of July 25 by Ballot Pedia shows the overwhelming majority of Trump\u2019s anointed candidates going on to win their respective elections.<\/p>\n<p>Of the 19 gubernatorial candidates for 2022 elections, 10 have won their primaries. Only three have lost.
