Doug Ducey, also of the GOP.<\/p>\n<p>Adams, meanwhile, told reporters in the borough of Manhattan that Abbott and Ducey\u2019s actions \u201cwere wrong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Both mayors head so-called sanctuary cities, where illegal aliens are largely welcome to live and work without fear of deportation.<\/p>\n<p>Abbott said in the new missive that the interest from the mayors in the border situation was \u201ca welcome development\u201d and asked them not only to visit the border, but to urge President Joe Biden to secure it \u201cand put an\u00a0end to this disastrous crisis.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Biden\u2019s reckless open border policies have created a dangerous environment not only for tens of millions of Texans, but for communities all across the nation, including yours.
