I\u2019m a human, and I made a mistake.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Smith said he had tried to contact Rock and \u201cthe message that came back is that he\u2019s not ready to talk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable. And I\u2019m here whenever you\u2019re ready to talk,\u201d Smith added.    <\/p>\n<p>Less than an hour after the incident, Smith gave a tearful speech on stage as he accepted the best actor award for his role in \u201cKing Richard,\u201d portraying the father of tennis superstars Serena and Venus Williams. <\/p>\n<p>In the new video, Smith addressed the question of why he did not apologize to Rock during his speech.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was fogged out by that point. It\u2019s all fuzzy,\u201d Smith said.<\/p>\n<p>In April, Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts &#038; Sciences, the group that award the Oscars, and the organization banned him from attending the ceremony for 10 years. <\/p>\n<p>Rock\u2019s joke about Pinkett Smith made a reference to the 1997 film \u201cG.I. Jane\u201d in which actress Demi Moore shaved her head.
